Artisan Sharpening is rooted in a respect for precision and craft. With a background in the steel industry and precision tooling, I approach hair shears as finely engineered instruments - not disposable tools. Geometry, balance, and steel integrity matter.

Improper sharpening can permanently damage shears and dramatically shorten their life. Using specialized equipment and Japanese water stones, I focus on restoring each pair to its intended geometry.  Your shears will cut smoothly, feel right in the hand, and perform as they were designed - quietly, effortlessly, and for years to come.

About Me

Since 2019 I have served the artisan shaving and barbering community before expanding into professional shear sharpening. 

I trained under two Master Sharpeners and received my sharpening certification from Shark Fin Shears. I use a variety of modern sharpening equipment, including: Wolff Hira-To, EZ-Vex, Twice-as-Sharp, Foredom jewelry polisher, Tormek T8, and Shapton water stones.
